Master- oder Bachelorarbeiten in der Abteilung Pflanzenökologie und Ökosystemforschung zu vergeben

Master (or bachelor) theses in forest ecology The Department of Plant Ecology is offering several opportunities for master (or bachelor) theses studying the ecological consequences of global climate change for temperate and Mediterranean forests. More specifically, theses are offered studying e.g.
– The effect of warmer and drier climate for the P nutrition of European beech (in Germany) or Palestine oak (in Israel). Both field studies (Luneburg heath region or Sauerland in Germany and Mt. Carmel to the Judean Mountains in Israel) and experimental studies in climate chambers are available.
– The importance of mycorrhizal and rhizobial symbioses for important root functions in different temperate tree species, i.e. in beech, oak, lime, hornbeam, ash, maple, cherry, and locust
– Functional properties of the temperate tree flora
